Information you give us. When you use a form on the site we collect what you enter, such as:

• Newsletter signup: your email address.
• Company submissions and listing claims: company details, your name, email address, title or relationship to the company, and any links you provide.
• Contact, intro request, event and tool suggestion forms: your name, email address, company and message.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics tools record basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring page and the date and time of a visit. We use this to keep the site secure, prevent spam and understand which pages are useful. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site; it collects device and usage data, not your name or email.

Cookies. We use cookies needed to run the site and Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure visits and page use. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your browsing data. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our forms from spam and abuse; Cloudflare may process technical data such as your IP address for this purpose.

• To send the weekly St. Louis AI News email and related updates you asked for.
• To review, verify and publish company listings and to contact you about a submission or claim.
• To answer messages and pass along intro requests you ask us to make.
• To measure listing performance (views, clicks and intro requests) for listed companies, in aggregate.
• To protect the site against spam, fraud and abuse.
• To meet legal obligations.

Company information you submit may be published on the site after a person reviews it. We do not publish your personal email address. Submitter names are not published unless you are listed as a company leader and agree to it.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:

• With service providers that help us run the site (hosting, database, email delivery through Resend and analytics through Google Analytics), under contracts that limit their use of the data.
• With a company or person you ask us to introduce you to, and only the details needed for that intro.
• If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our users or others.
• As part of a sale or transfer of the site, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.

We keep newsletter emails until you unsubscribe. We keep form submissions as long as needed to handle them and to keep accurate listing records, then delete or anonymize them.

• Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in every email.
• Ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by using the contact form.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We will honor valid requests as the law requires.

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and restricted database access. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The site is for professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

The site links to company websites, sources and tools we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own.

We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, note it on the site or in the newsletter.
